Permanent Hair Reduction

Virtually everyone has struggled with unwanted hair. Hormonal changes can create unwanted hair. With age women tend to grow more unwanted facial hair. Men can also face hair growth with age on their ears and nose. Here in Hawaii, where active lifestyles prevail, unwanted hair in the under arm area, bikini line and legs are hard to keep up with. Shaving every other day is a hassle and unsightly shaving bumps are embarrassing (not to mention uncomfortable ingrown hairs). Depilatory creams are messy and time consuming, waxing is expensive and an ongoing process.

Treatment

Laser hair removal is an ideal solution to unwanted hair. The provides great results that are permanent.

How does it work?
The laser is attracted to hair with pigmentation (it works best on darker hair and will not work on white hair or hair without pigmentation). The pulsed light disables the hair follicles to prevent new growth. Hair growth is cyclical; therefore, it may take several treatments to achieve desired results. Generally four to six treatments are recommended. Treatments can take as little as 15 minutes for upper lip or ears, and may require an hour for larger areas such as a back or full legs. Treatments are usually scheduled four weeks apart. There is no down time for this treatment and it is safe for everyone.
